STYLE GURU BIO: Francesca Rizzo

Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Francesca Rizzo, and I am a sophomore at Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts. I am a communication major with a concentration in communication studies. On campus, I am a radio host for our station, a member of social media scholars, and a peer mentor.

Growing up in Boston, I was been lucky enough to be surrounded by some of the most eclectic styles. However, I had not truly appreciated it until this past summer. I began working in a position that required me to dress up every day. That’s right ladies, I’m talking blazers, suit paints, and pearls to last a lifetime. When I first went shopping, many of the business professional outfits I found seemed dark and tired. I decided I had to take matters into my own hands and, ultimately, found peace in accessorizing. Big, chunky necklaces and drop earrings brought what would have been your run-of-the-mill work outfit to the next level.

Going to a very preppy college has inspired me to elevate my looks more and more. Truth be told, I only owned six pairs of shoes in high school. Now, I’m afraid to even count!

Having a passion for style and beauty can, undeniably, be expensive. I’ve made it my mission this semester to find pieces that will look like they just came off the runway without breaking the bank. If you know me, then you know how often I talk about finding the hottest deal for whatever my obsession might be at the moment.

What exactly is my obsession at this moment, you might ask? Blanket scarves! Blanket scarves are the saving grace of winter, my friends. Not only are the adorable, but they keep you warm while still looking glamorous. To top off this look, I wore heeled boots that I recently purchased at DSW. They serve a dual purpose of protecting your feet from the cold while still managing to make you look like you are about to strut your stuff on Newbury!

I cannot wait to start this journey with you all. Make sure to follow me on social media to stay updated with my latest posts and articles.
