Hello! My name is Erin Mukai and I am currently studying at The Academy of Art University to get a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in fashion merchandising. I grew up in the Bay Area where the weather is not too cold in the winter and not extremely hot in the summer. Which allows my style to be more flexible and have a wide range of garments in my closet.
While growing up I always spent my time mostly playing sports. Playing sports didn’t give me the opportunity to dress up all the time. Besides sports I’ve always loved to shop, even at a young age. My background of sports has had a huge influence on the way I dress.
In most of my outfits you will see a presence of sportswear. When it comes to fashion, I have a few go to items. Nike shoes are perfect to add to your outfit since they are stylish and comfy at the same time, which allows you to be ready and on the go for any adventure. Ripped jeans can be dressed up to go for a more feminine or sportier look. I usually like to add simple leather accessories to complement my outfits.
My style is very simple, yet, expressive at the same time. My wardrobe usually consists of solid colors and oversized tops. I often find myself trying to incorporate some menswear items into my outfits, while my shoes are usually colorful and have unique prints which reflect on my personality.
