STYLE GURU BIO: Erin Moran

If you’re reading this, this Philadelphia Fashionista has already started a new style journey in Paris! Although I miss my little corner of Philadelphia already, I can’t wait to start capturing life in Paris on my blog, Instagram and, of course, CollegeFashionista.

I fell in love with Paris when I was 16 and have been longing to go back ever since. I knew my school offered a study abroad program in France, but I just didn’t believe that I could go. I speak very little French, I have a South Jersey accent that sometimes slips through, and I simply don’t have the French girl dream hairstyle that makes me envy the French pop stars of the 1960s; I thought I could never survive in Paris.

However, I went into 2016 thinking about personal growth and development and have exceeded even my own expectations, so I took a chance and applied for Temple University’s global internship program at the last minute. Two days later I received my acceptance email and my Parisian dream began.

This summer, I’ll be working as an intern at an online fashion magazine in Paris, spending my days posting on social media, writing reviews and covering Haute Couture Fashion Week as I eat my morning croissant. All the while, I’ll be wearing romantic, dreamy looks reminiscent of the French countryside, like the one I’m wearing here. Although my normal staple pieces include lace-up flats, leather jackets and dainty necklaces, I’ve been inspired to branch out this year and my wardrobe is no exception! This look pairs a flowy, floral kimono with my favorite strappy wedges and ripped jeans. I’ll be wearing comfy, casual looks like this all around Paris this summer.

Check back monthly to keep up with Parisian style and follow along with my journey through Paris! Here’s to a #RAD summer, no matter where you’re spending it.
