STYLE GURU BIO: Erin McCann

Hey Fashionistas! My name is Erin McCann and I am a senior Media Studies major and Political Science minor at Quinnipiac University.

When I’m not in class you can find me hanging out with friends, feeding into my shopping addiction or searching for new beauty and fashion inspiration on YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram. I am constantly on the hunt for new beauty products to try out and different fashion pieces I can throw into my wardrobe.

While most people dread getting ready in the morning it is something that I truly enjoy. I love putting my makeup on, doing my hair and figuring out the outfit that I am going to wear that day. Even if I am just heading to class or having a relaxing day I still like to get ready and look my best. This is something that I’ve loved to do ever since I was a little girl. It was common for my mother to find me rummaging through her makeup bag and running around in her heels.

While I was growing up and figuring out my sense of style I thought that I had to choose one specific style and stay in the confines of that category. But as I grew up I came to realize that what style is all about is trying new things and thinking outside the box. One of my favorite things to do is take inspiration from different areas of fashion and make them my own; I love to mix things up in my wardrobe. I usually gravitate towards classic pieces with simple or unique details. My favorite places to shop are ASOS, H&M, Urban Outfitters, Free People and Express. I am a firm believer that with the right amount of confidence you can rock whatever outfit you want!

I am so excited to share my take on fashion with you all over the next semester!
