My name is Erin Gordon and I am currently a junior studying at the University of Wisconsin. I’m thrilled to be writing for CollegeFashionista again this semester and reporting all about FASHION FROM ABROAD. Last fall I wrote ALL ABOUT BEAUTY and discovered so many new and unique beauty tricks that can instantly add to any outfit!
I’m so excited that this spring I will have the opportunity to study abroad in the beautiful and quaint Seville, Spain. Even as a Journalism and Mass Communication major, I’ve been studying Spanish for nearly eight years. I am anxiously awaiting this adventure to not only practice and hopefully master the language, but also delve into the culture, history and fashion of Spain. I can’t wait to experiment with and explore the fashion trends and street style that Seville has to offer, while seeking new inspiration for my own personal style from Spanish Fashionistas!
I must admit, I’m not complaining that I will be missing out on a Wisconsin winter in place of 64 degrees and sunny weather in Spain. While I’m leaving my knee-length winter coat behind, a few basic summer pieces I couldn’t travel without include a maxi dress, gladiator sandals and bright lavender JBrands. While my personal style is simplistic, classic and comfortable, I always love to be more daring abroad when it comes to my day-to-day outfits. As rumor has it, Europe is usually several months ahead of the trends and my hope is to capture and share these future fashions with my fellow Fashionista/os as I spend four months studying and playing in Spain!
