Hello again, Fashionista/os! I’m very excited to get started on my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista! Once again, I’ll be contributing to the WHAT TO WEAR column, but this time it will be summer and therefore, better (a bold statement, but I stand by it).
I was born in Illinois and raised in Michigan, which technically makes me very Midwestern, but I rejected this notion from a young age and convinced myself that I was probably Parisian-born and my parents just forgot to mention it. Although I don’t attend school for anything fashion-related, I always find myself coming back to it in some capacity. The good news is that a monthly Vogue habit is way cheaper than hard drugs, so you’re welcome, parents/society. Luckily, CollegeFashionista exists, and I’m very thankful to be a part of the team because it’s difficult to imagine my life without the influence of fashion and just as difficult to imagine it without CollegeFashionista.
Not much has changed since I first started as a Style Guru back in January. I’m still a student at the University of Michigan studying Screen Arts and Cultures and Art History, I still hope to work in television one day and I still love checking out the range of styles here in Ann Arbor. I love it so much that I decided to stay here unsolicited for an extra four months.
So here’s to another semester full of street style, new blog posts and wearing sheer lace tops because it’s summer and that’s our right. Let’s do this.
