STYLE GURU BIO: Erica Cellucci

Hey everyone! My name is Erica and I come from the greatest city in the world—Philadelphia. When I’m not hanging around (well, most likely eating) in the City of Brotherly Love, I’m lucky enough to spend the rest of my time in the Big Apple where I am a proud Jasper at Manhattan College. Here, I study Communication and Sociology, two subjects I am immensely passionate about.

Another thing I’m passionate about is style. To me, style is more than just the clothes someone wears. It’s more than shoes and scarves and hats and bags. That stuff does serve a purpose, but I think we often miss the bigger picture. I believe that style comes from within, and it’s all about how you present yourself and the energy you have. Style includes hair, makeup and most importantly, attitude—because let’s face it, it’s the inside that counts. Style is just another way to express yourself. In fact, style is a form of art, and the world is a museum full of beautiful masterpieces. The best way to show your inner-beauty is to mirror it on the outside, and to always remember to respect, if not admire, other people’s artwork as well.

So what’s my style? If I have done anything right in the last 19 years of my life, it is merely a reflection of who I am. This means it’s an obscure mixture of colors, shapes, patterns, textures and sizes that in some way or another, speak to me on a personal level. Most of my outfits are inspired by my favorite fashion decade, the grunge scene in the ’90s. Luckily, my hair and makeup can be more diverse, and I often find inspiration through different decades, people and, of course, my own mood. I like to find staples and claim them as my own trademarks, like shift dresses, leather booties and heart-shaped sunnies.

I am eager to show people that there is more to style than just fashion. I hope to inspire people to take every aspect of style into consideration to achieve the most original look possible. I want to help people understand the importance of self-love and confidence and hopefully how to use it to their advantage and the advantage of others! It’s a beautiful world out there, and that is because of the beauty in each and every one of you!
