Hi again Fashionistas/os! I am super excited to be returning as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista for the summer. I loved getting to write about all the fashions and trends I saw around campus last semester and am excited to get to keep doing it. I am now entering into my senior year at Virginia Commonwealth University. I really can’t believe how fast college flew by… I am nowhere near ready for it to be over. While in school, I am majoring in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in General Business. I will earn my Bachelor of Arts in May 2017!

I am currently living in Richmond, Virginia while I go to school and absolutely LOVE the city. It has such a unique atmosphere and I’ve met so many different people from every walk of life, which has opened my eyes to new things. There is never a day in Richmond that I don’t drive by or walk by something I’ve never seen before. It’s exciting and a great place to spend your four years of college. Even though VCU isn’t the typical college campus, I love the diversity it offers and the city vibes.

While at VCU, I joined a sorority on campus my freshmen year. I am a sister of Phi Mu fraternity and have been since 2013. Through Greek life, I have met so many incredible and intelligent women who have taught me so much about myself. Being a part of Phi Mu these past three years has molded me into who I am today and given me the greatest friendships.

After college, I plan to move out to New York City to pursue a career in the Fashion industry. This has been my plan since I was a freshman in high school and I can’t wait to get to wake up in the Big Apple every morning, even if it’s in a shoebox-sized apartment. I am looking forward to what’s to come in these next few years after graduation.

As for my outfit pictured above, Richmond has seriously been raining for the past month straight. My rain boots have become my go to shoes the past few weeks. I am obsessed with my Hunter Boots and own multiple colors. They are super cute and can be worn with so many things! I paired them with a denim dress and a black flappy hat. Flappy hats were popular throughout the winter season and will continue to be in the summer. I am always wearing mine! As for my bracelet I am wearing, it was a gift from my sorority little sister and I wear it almost everyday because it has a special meaning to me. Adding any pop of jewelry to this outfit will make you feel a little less blah from all the rain! I can’t wait to show you all the trends I see around Richmond throughout the summer and share my own personal favorites!
