STYLE GURU BIO: Elizabeth Thompson

Happy summer my fellow Fashionistas/os! I’m so excited to be back writing for my second semester with CollegeFashionista. My name is Elizabeth Thompson and I am a rising sophomore at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. I am studying marketing and looking to pursue a job in buying and retail. In my upcoming posts, not only will you see the transition from one season to another, but also from one city to another as I will be living in Milwaukee this summer!

As I explore a new city while away at school, I have also been trying out newer styles and picking up on different trends. However, during the summer I prefer more softer colors with patterns especially, in all honesty, any color that will enhance my tan. Sure, most days you’ll find me in a swimsuit poolside, but there’s nothing I love more than the freedom to wear shorts and dresses all summer long.

For my look, I paired this vintage-inspired floral halter sundress by Melrose and Market with a killer studded pair of Kork-Ease heels. I love this dress because it’s perfect to wear for any activity you’ll find yourself doing this summer. Whether you’re headed to the lake or a date night, a loose sundress like this one is always a great option and looks flattering on anyone.

I wore my jean jacket to add some dimension to the dress, and also to use later once the sun sets and the hot days turn into chilly nights. For my accessories, I wore two Nordstrom wrap around bracelets and my favorite pair of sunglasses to rock during the summer from Marc by Marc Jacobs.

I’m looking forward to see what trends will emerge this summer and what looks my features will create. Be sure to check out posts every month and remember to stay RAD, Fashionistas/os!
