STYLE GURU BIO: Elizabeth Duong

Hey everyone! My name is Elizabeth but most of my friends call me Liz. I’m a first year student at Oregon State University and I’m majoring in Merchandise Management and minoring is Visual Arts. I’m a member of the Alpha Kappa chapter of Kappa Delta and just finished a term of being a Campus Representative for Serengetee. This will be my first blogging experience and I’m ecstatic to try it out! I’m an Oregonian through and through but who doesn’t like to travel. As a college student, I wouldn’t say I have the largest fund to go anywhere too exotic, but in my extra time, I play intramural sports, attempt some hand typography and, of course, watch Netflix.

For as long as I can remember, being a part of the fashion industry has been all I’ve ever wanted. I always had a love for all things fashion and makeup, whether it looked good or not. I’m constantly helping my friends with their outfits and doing their makeup, if they let me of course. Watching makeup tutorials on YouTube (specifically Jaclyn Hill, Karissa Pukas and Lauren Curtis) is a habit of mine, I can’t help it—I love a good cat eye. My style is kind of all over the board. It varies seasonally, monthly and daily but one can never over succeed or overdress. I’m a decently shy person but I express myself through lipsticks, rings and dresses. One day I could be wearing a babydoll dress and cardigan, or on other days I’ll be wearing an outfit similar to this particular one: Zella leggings (best leggings ever), black high-tops, my favorite ring and one of my beloved flannels. Like I said my style is constantly evolving.

Words haven’t ever been my strongest suit but I’m hoping that the experience I gain from this internship with CollegeFashionista will assist me in building the skills needed to run my own blog in the near future which something I’ve always wanted to pursue. So, hopefully in my time with CollegeFashionista, I can interest a few souls in the Fashionistas of Oregon.
