STYLE GURU BIO: Elizabeth Dorwart

Hello all! My name is Elizabeth but everyone—besides my mother of course—calls me Liz. I am a sophomore at Florida State University (go Noles!) and I’m majoring in editing, writing and media. I love writing and photography, and CollegeFashionista has given me a fantastic opportunity to combine my two main interests with my love for fashion. In my opinion, one of the hardest questions that I could possibly be asked is: “How would you define your style?” There is no one word or phrase that can accurately capture someone’s sense of style. The great thing about fashion is that everyone is so unique and different that no two people will ever dress exactly alike.

My style is ever-changing. Some days I’ll rock a floral dress and matching cardigan, and the next day I’ll be sporting a black-on-black ripped ensemble. I was once told that my style was “preppy hipster” and really, you can’t get much more oxymoronic than that. My favorite go-to look is a light sundress and a cute yet comfy pair of sandals. This outfit is great for walking around campus in the Florida heat, and I still look put-together; even if I took barely five minutes to throw it together. Just because I’m running late to class doesn’t mean I can’t look good while doing it!

I am so thrilled for this upcoming semester as I not only continue my academic career but I continue to evolve my personal sense of style by sharing with you all. I look forward to scouting out the latest and greatest in fashion and sharing my wonderful thoughts and finds with you!
