STYLE GURU BIO: Elizabeth Diehl

September 1st, 2015 at 2:00am

Hey fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Elizabeth Diehl and this marks my second semester as a Style Guru and my first official one on campus. I am entering my senior year (gasp… not ready) at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA as a marketing major with a minor in business analytics.

Although a career in fashion has been just about the only thing that’s ever called my name (minor middle school crises aside), I decided to nail down a solid business degree first and foremost which is why I am so grateful to have creative outlets—especially CollegeFashionista—that remind me of my passion. There is nothing more exciting then ending a day filled with statistics and spreadsheets to come home and be able to put together articles about what inspires me the most on a daily basis.

As I officially transition from summer to school-mode, I find myself switching my flip flops out for high-tops and opting for more comfy, yet equally stylish, pieces perfect for walking to class, grabbing lunch with friends and studying in my favorite spots on campus. This fall I am obsessed with metallics, capes and shoes that make a statement. Because Temple is in an urban setting, darker colors are almost always a go-to, so I try to make an effort to spice up my look every once in a while with a bold shoe or accessory.

One of my favorite things about my school is its diverse population, which lends a hand in creating an amazing conglomeration of street style that is constantly evolving. I cannot wait to see how my campus chooses to uniquely express itself this fall and am even more thrilled to be able to report on it. Check back at the first of every month for more from TU!
