STYLE GURU BIO: Elizabeth Beckman

Hello friends! My name is Elizabeth Beckman, but all of my friends call me Bizzy. I am incredibly stoked to begin as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista, sourced out of Bradley University. For the most part, I’m a pretty simple gal—you can normally catch me digging through my couch looking for six dollars when I’m craving a chicken burrito bowl from Chipotle, obsessively distressing a pair of vintage Levi’s from Goodwill while blasting the new Lil Yachty song or scarfing down chocolate ice cream in a T-shirt of a band I don’t actually listen to. I know…

This upcoming fall semester will be full of new experiences for me due to my recent change in major from nursing to fashion merchandising. After two years of taking courses with a focus on science, I could not be more excited to come back to school this year and finally pursue what I love. Although my courses this semester will be a little out of my element because of my “science-y” background, I could not be more excited. I have always been intrigued by the fashion industry and am eager to see where I belong.

So, what is my personal style? My style tends to be a little all over the place, but normally I play around with what’s trendy and make it my own. My current obsessions are layering T-shirts with silky camisoles from the thrift store, off-the-shoulder tops and trying to squeeze my “summer bod” back into my ripped jeans.

I am so hyped to be working as a Style Guru. Here’s to a #RAD first semester!
