STYLE GURU BIO: Eliza Lavine

Style Guru Bio

Hey there! My name is Eliza, and I’m so excited to be writing for CollegeFashionista for another season. I just finished up my freshman year at George Washington University. I love Washington D.C., don’t get me wrong, but I’m happy to be back on Jersey soil for a couple of months. Whether I’m in the hustle and bustle of D.C. or in the relaxed suburbs of New Jersey, I never stop dressing my best.

Because it’s summertime, I am totally into bright colors and prints. This is the season I let Lilly Pulitzer shine! My closet is full of dresses, shorts and skirts that look like they came straight out of Palm Beach. Along with the preppy side of my style, the Parisian side of my style also is in full force this season.

I’ll preface this by saying that I have only been to Paris once in my life. It was the summer after my junior year in high school, and I went for a month to take photography and creative writing classes. However, I love love love Parisian style. It is so chic and simple, yet it still looks polished. The outfit that I am wearing is my personal take on the Parisian look; cuffed boyfriend jeans, a striped T-shirt (duh) and some classic white sneakers. I own about 10 different striped T-shirts, so I have a bunch of options when I’m feeling this particular look on any given day.

This is my second time writing for CollegeFashionista. I had so much fun writing for LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS in the spring, and I can’t wait to write for WHAT TO WEAR this summer. I was so surprised that I was able to find so many Fashionistos on GW’s campus! I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but the guys on campus showed me just how stylin’ they all are. I am excited to jump back into women’s fashion for the summer while writing for WHAT TO WEAR.

In the summer, people are literally all over the place (the beach, internships, vacations, etc.), so I can’t wait to show you what to wear no matter where your summer takes you!
