STYLE GURU BIO: Eli Gentile

Hey, my name is ElisaBeth but most people just call me Eli. I am currently a Communication major at Rutgers University in New Jersey. I was born and raised in New York so it is safe to say that I have been exposed to fashion for pretty much my entire life. One of my favorite quotes that I live by was said by Yves Saint Laurent: “Dressing is a way of life.” I like to think of each day as a new opportunity to express how I feel with my outfit.

My personal style is extremely eclectic and sometimes unpredictable. Most days I tend to go towards more neutral colors, but that never stops me from wearing loud colors or patterns. I like to say that when I wake up in the morning, my mood dictates what I will wear for the day. For instance, some days I lean more towards boho-chic. I love wearing a fun, loose dress with a cool pair of sandals. My current go-to outfit is my favorite pair of boyfriend jeans paired up with a black T-shirt and tons of accessories. One accessory you’ll never see me without is a pair of my sunnies; I never leave my house without them!

A few of my style icons include: Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively and Kendall Jenner. I spend a lot of my free time stalking style and keeping myself updated on the latest looks. I actually have a serious addiction to online shopping and when searching for specific clothing items or accessories—Google is my best friend.

Aside from all things fashion, I love to travel. My family and I travel a few times a year and I love getting to experience new things in different places. Considering that my family comes from a small town in Italy, I have traveled there numerous times. I love so many things about European culture, especially the way Europeans dress. A lot of my clothing is inspired by European looks.

I am so excited to be working with CollegeFashionista this semester and I can’t wait to share my articles with all of you!
