My name is Eddie Jew and I am currently a junior at Bucknell University. This will be my second semester with CollegeFashionista and I am very excited to be back.
After tinkering with my personal style and look over the past two and a half years, I can say that my first semester with CollegeFashionista truly allowed me to appreciate fashion and seasonal trends. My own look sways mostly on the side of preppy, but I do love to see other styles and outfits whether they go with my fashion schema or not. Sometimes going for a look that isn’t necessarily your first choice is the best way to incorporate new trends and freshen up your style.
With bitter temperatures outside I am a big fan of heavier fabrics such as corduroy pants, lambswool sweaters and yes, even flannel shirts. Staying warm is my first priority, but I never feel that I have to sacrifice fashion for practicality. Even with the darker winter color palette, I try to incorporate brighter pastels into the mix because it’s fun and different. My favorite color to use is mint but I also enjoy bright blues and a standard pastel pink.
I am an Economics and Political Science double major. Despite a lack of any fashion-intensive courses, I feel that Bucknell’s liberal arts class style allows me to take a wide variety of classes that are not strictly limited to my major. With economics and political science, I am able to learn why consumers made purchases at any point in time and to what capacity these purchases have influence, even through the lens of fashion.
I truly love my school and I am very eager to document the Fashionistas and Fashionistos on Bucknell’s campus with FASHIONISTA/O SPOTLIGHT this upcoming semester!
