Hey, hi, hello! The name is Danielle Gasparro and I’m currently finishing up my fashion merchandising degree at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. Feminism, fashion, fantasy, and frills are always the top things on my to-do list. This is my fifth and final semester with CollegeFashionista as a Style Guru, and I’m delighted to be showing off all the rad threads I see around town.
My style is an eclectic and magical mixture of colors, textures, and silhouettes. I have never liked to limit myself when it comes to my fashion adventures and I’m always looking for that next great piece that will take my look to a exciting new place. I draw inspiration from all things that bring me joy. Films, music, books, television, friends, the weather, the past, the future, I’m always trying to draw the best aesthetic from my favorite things.
For this look, I’m taking inspiration from one of the coolest science teachers ever, Ms. Frizzle! When I found this kooky skirt at my local Goodwill, I felt ready to drive the magic school bus into outer space. I added another vintage piece I own, an embroidered button-up, to complete the feeling of nostalgic for this look.I think the Friz would be proud.
It wouldn’t be a Danielle look if it wasn’t completed with a couple of quirky accessories. Always looking to add more punches of fun and silliness, my scrabble tile earrings (which feature my initials) and my Timmy Woods crossbody bag are just the ticket.
