STYLE GURU BIO: Danielle Germane

Shalom fellow Fashionistos and Fashionistas. My name is Danielle Germane, but some call me Danie G for short. I am a sophomore at Central Michigan University majoring in Fashion Merchandising and Design and minoring in Leadership. This is my second semester as a CollegeFashionista Style Guru and my first semester as a Resident Assistant on campus. On campus I am also a part of the Fashion Association of Merchandising and Design (FAMD), Leadership Institute (LI) and Lunch Buddies (a mentoring program).

Some additional things you should know about me before we begin on this adventure of a semester together: I like to dress comfortably and frankly I also like to dress cutely (as if that’s a grammatically correct word or something). When I get the best of both worlds, you better believe that I’m determined to have a great day.

Like when I’m prepped and ready for fall (maybe not so much ready for classes) in this comfy and cute outfit featured right here!

It began with me in my dorm room trying to cope with the sudden flash of chilly weather Michigan decided to graciously accept (the first of many, I’m sure). Without hesitation I whipped out my black and white cardigan sweater from my too small closet that I am thankful to even have. Of course, I had to pair that with my awkwardly showing white socks and black boots to keep my toes and ankles warm.

To offset the black of my classical leggings I decided to wear a comfy white T-shirt that was from my schools very own fashion show, Threads, the year previous. Printed with a quirky quote on front, it fit my personality and the vibe I was wishing to give off for the day: comfy, cute and now confident, too!

I know some of us just met but something you’ll quickly learn is that I am also a jewelry junkie and I am not ashamed of it. Not just any jewelry, but jewelry that has meaning behind it. My two most recent jewelry finds were my MudLOVE bracelet(s) and my Lokai bracelet. Also my LoveCollide necklace and the rock necklace that I handcrafted are two that I wear practically everywhere, everyday.

Well I think that’s enough about me. Now I want to hear more about you! What’s your favorite fashion frenzy? I’m excited to be on this journey again and I hope you’re just as excited to read about it!
