STYLE GURU BIO: Dana Draper

Hello Fashionistas! I am beyond excited to be typing these words for you. I am overly excited to be a part of the CollegeFashionista world. A friend of mine has been a part of this exciting family for over a year now, and I’ve finally made time for myself to be a part of it as well.

I want to start out by saying welcome! A warm welcome is always comforting when staring something new. Heres a little introduction for those of you who just stumbled upon my page. My name is Dana, and I am obsessed with everything that is fashion related. This past June I graduated with an A.A. in Merchandise Product Development from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. I’m currently taking a few months off from school to figure out where I would like to continue my fashion journey at a college I can receive a bachelors in business. I currently live in my hometown in Massachusetts, but soon enough I will be back in action pursuing my dream job in Los Angeles.

You can say when it comes to styling myself, I tend to stick to the more simpler pieces. Comfortable is my go-to outfit. That’s usually what I look for when planning what I’m going to wear for the day. For my look you can see that I’m dressed in a super chill outfit that is still very well put together. The main focus is my shoes, which are the Adidas NMDR1’s. Im wearing a crewneck, knitted dress and a distressed jean jacket. For accessories, I wore my favorite staple piece clear readers and some bracelets from Alex and Ani. One of my favorite things to do is to wear simple jewelry. It gives any look such a pop.

Many might think this is odd, but styling myself for the day is such a stress reliever. Getting the chance to take a few minutes to figure out what clothing piece goes with what really calms my soul makes me feel so at peace. I think its because I enjoy expressing myself through what I wear.
