STYLE GURU BIO: Cyrenna Cooper

Hello to all my Fashionistas out there! I’m Cyrenna and I cannot begin to describe my excitement and being able to join the CollegeFashionista team as a first-time Style Guru. I am in my third year at George Mason University, majoring in marketing. Interning for CollegeFashionista is one of the best blessings I’ve received this year and I couldn’t be any happier. I always appreciate the beauty of fashion around me and now I get to share that love with everyone else!

Being raised in Springfield, Virginia, I started to become accustomed to doing the same ol’ routine. I decided I wanted to go away my first year of school, and that was a nice getaway, but as I was away I could only focus on fashion and looking at the business side of things. I decided to come home and pursue my fashion related dreams. Now at George Mason, I am surrounded by other fabulously dressed students and fashion trends and I love every second of it. I am excited to capture these moments and she them all with you. With spring right around the corner, we’re bound to see the many takes on floral…groundbreaking.

Ever since I was a young girl I can always remember that fashion, clothes and just looking well put together was a necessity. My mother always referred to me as her “little Fashionista.” While growing up, my friends and peers would talk about the latest book they’ve read and I couldn’t relate because my head was always in an InStyle, Lucky or Teen Vogue magazine. I don’t only appreciate fashion for myself and shopping, but I also love to help my friends put pieces together. I am always the first one to plan a much needed shopping trip, or to redo a friend’s wardrobe.

When it comes to my style, I am very versatile. One day I can be seen in a leather jacket, ripped boyfriend jeans and Nikes; and then the next day I could be wearing a soft blush sweater and a skirt to match. My style doesn’t have one mood, just like me—it’s all over the place.

I look forward to this spring semester here at CollegeFashionista. I hope to gain as much knowledge and take advantage of this opportunity as I can. And I am most excited to be sharing my love of fashion you all, my readers, family and friends. Keep it chic!
