STYLE GURU BIO: Corrinda Wright

Hello fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Corrinda Wright. I am a senior Communications, Journalism and Photography student at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. I am very excited to be bringing you a look into my campus’ fashion scene this semester.

Before we take a look at my classmates, I need to explain my own style to you.

I have always viewed my clothes as a direct expression of my daily aura. Very rarely do I choose my outfits in advance because they may not properly reflect my emotions the next morning. As you can imagine, this makes packing extremely difficult.

The Fashionistas/os around me serve as a major inspiration. Their unique perspectives give me ideas on how to mix up my own look. My time spent studying abroad in Milan has also encouraged me to incorporate dressier pieces into my daily wardrobe.

Lately, my style has fallen into two categories: earth tones featuring my Madden Girl Cactuss boots in Cognac Paris (I own them in black, too) or chicer black and white ensembles featuring pops of maroon.

No matter what style personality I have taken on for the day, my outfits always lean toward a classic aesthetic. Plaid is my friend.

In the photos above, you can see my current prized possessions: a plaid shearling backpack from the Adam Lippes for Target collection and black patent loafers from H&M.

Also featured in this outfit are: Old Navy’s pixie pants, a bow tie blouse from JCPenny, and a blazer from Macy’s.

Well, that’s enough about me. Let’s delve into the inspirations and prized possessions of George Mason University’s Fashionistas/os. Hopefully, they will inspire you like they have me.

I am looking forward to your RAD feedback.
