Hello fashion people! I’m Colleen and I’m so excited to spend my summer with you all! Since we’re going to be spending a good amount of time together, I figure I should go ahead and introduce myself. I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and just recently finished my first year at Loyola University of Chicago. I’m currently enrolled with a Journalism major and an Art History minor, and plan on going into some form of styling when I graduate. Eventually, I plan on using my journalism background and my styling experience to hopefully have a career at a fashion magazine.

I’m extremely driven towards people with passion, no matter what that passion may be. I love watching someone’s eyes light up when they talk about something they’re in love with, and for me, that’s fashion. I’ve been interested in the art of fashion for as long as I can remember, but if I had to guess it was probably from the first time I stepped foot in Saks Fifth Avenue’s handbag section. I’m heavily influenced by hip-hop and street style, so expect to see no shortage of black, leather and minimalism worn on yours truly. Prepare yourself for a summer of listening to me gush over my current and all-time favorites: Alexander McQueen, Alexander Wang, Jerry Lorenzo and Virgil Abloh. My particular obsessions include, but are not limited to: statement shoes, Fendi bag bugs, Karl Lagerfeld quotes, black bralettes, Emily Ratajkowski, Saint Laurent purses and distressed boyfriend jeans.

I’m quite obviously addicted to the beauty and fashion industry, and I firmly believe it is because I love watching people discover their own look and find their confidence. If you ask me, there’s no better feeling than styling an outfit or doing someone’s makeup and witnessing them feeling their most beautiful. I can’t wait to spend the rest of the summer inspiring all of you to be, and dress, your absolute best!

Like this look? I paired a classic black jean with my one of my favorite black Brandy Melville tank tops. Gold jewelry and nude shoes help tie the look together with my amazing hot pink Tory Burch bag.
