Welcome back Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Clarissa Marchia and I am so lucky to be writing for my favorite fashion website—CollegeFashionista! I am a junior at the University of San Francisco, majoring in Media Studies with a minor in Journalism and Design. I have been part of the CollegeFashionista community for quite sometime now, both reading posts and writing them. I’m from a small town in Massachusetts and moved across the country to the colorful city of San Francisco to pursue my dreams of becoming a fashion writer and style expert.
Through CollegeFashionista, I have found my stylish self. I was always afraid to try new things and breaking out of my comfort zone, but now I’m all for putting on a pair of emerald green pants and a crazy printed top. My inspiration comes from the stylish people of San Francisco and my celebrity fashion gurus: Blake Lively for her feminine style, Vanessa Hudgens for her bohemian vibes and Kylie Jenner for her mysterious and edgy transformation.
Here are some of my style secrets I want to share with you: I love mixing the pieces I’m wearing with cool accessories, like this necklace from ModCloth. I also love high-waisted shorts for a perfect summer day, which you can find at American Eagle Outfitters or any department store. Lastly, pair your shorts with a colored top, like this one from Madewell.
I plan on giving my readers everything I’ve got this semester. Writing for CollegeFashionista this summer, I learned a lot about trends, runway shows and how to put together an outfit just in time for the new school year. Back-to-school is my favorite time of the year and giving fashion advice on how to make it even better is what I’m excited for this semester. With the upcoming fall trends, I’ll have tons to write about, so get ready!
