STYLE GURU BIO: Cindy Jean

My name is Cindy Jean and I am a 20-year-old fashion enthusiast.  I am a Haitian native raised in Maryland and loving life. Currently, I am a student attending Stevenson University, majoring in fashion merchandising and minoring in business management. When I’m not looking for the latest trends, you can find me taking pictures, trying new foods and exploring the world. After all, the world is our oyster. I also enjoy watching Game of Thrones, Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Project Runway. Fashion has always been a love of mine. Some may say my style is “trendy” or “chic,” but honestly, I say I’m open to anything. I’m willing to try new styles and make it my own. I love adding color and prints to an outfit, but I also love basic pieces because I believe simplicity can be just as, if not more, outstanding then having a million colors on.  When it comes to styling my outfits, culture and magazines inspire me to try new things and to reach beyond the width of my closet. I love finding new ways to incorporate color and texture into the outfits I wear.

What can I say? Fashion is art and I’m the artist.

Hopefully, in the future I will be working in the fashion industry and living in New York City. Until then, I’ll be working with CollegeFashionista showcasing fashion from a college student’s point of view, all while drinking a vanilla bean Frappuccino from Starbucks.
