STYLE GURU BIO: Christine O’Keeffe

Hi there! My name is Christine and this is my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista and I am beyond excited! I am currently a junior at SUNY Oneonta pursuing a career in fashion merchandising and management. Growing up in New York definitely has its perks, from staying up to date on all the fashion trends too truly experiencing all four seasons of the year. Fall has always been my favorite season and I am thrilled to have this opportunity to share current trends and style tips with you all this semester!

My love of fashion first began in high school during a time when I was unsure of who I was. Attending a private school where everyone wore a uniform and acted in the same manner left me questioning myself. I learned that I wanted to be different and create my own style. My discovery of the fashion world gave me the confidence to be myself and find beauty in everything around me. I realized that the moment I decided to be myself was the moment that I fell completely head over heels in love with all things fashion!

My personal style changes day-to-day depending on my mood and my enjoyment of trying new trends! After recently studying abroad in Milan, Italy at The Istituto Europeo di Design, I have found that my style has evolved even more! From all my traveling experiences, I was so inspired by all the different cities, people and styles across Europe that I wanted to be more bold and creative with my own look! I found that my go-to style is something that always has a little movement and flow. You can usually find me in a really good pair of skinny jeans, a cute pair of booties and a flowing cardigan!

I am so happy to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team this semester and keep you up to date on the fashion trends here in New York! So join me on this #RAD adventure and be sure to check out all my posts!
