I am positively in love with New York City. I love the air of competition in the streets; I love the buildings that ascend into the skies and the subways that descend furiously into the dark; I love my favorite used bookstore and the rickety Italian cafe on the corner. However, I mostly love New York for reasons parallel to why Mean Girls characters love Halloween: It is the one place in this world where I get to wear whatever I want and no one can say a thing about it.
This summer I will be living in New York City and on the lookout for the most Manhattan-esque styles I can find. This is my fourth semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I will be writing for WHAT TO WEAR to help Fashionistas/os figure out just what styles work for specific places and events.
I am a rising junior at the University of Florida, double majoring in Magazine Journalism and Spanish Literature. This summer I am also a web intern at Seventeen magazine as well as a fashion editorial intern at The Daily Beast Newsweek. Clearly, my summer goal is to go through as many J.Crew ballet flats and Moleskine notebooks as possible.
I am so excited to explore all the classic, cool and crazy styles that are New York City. From exclusive uptown internships to sunny midtown brunches to downtown dinner dates, I cannot wait to see what my New Yorker Fashionistas and Fashionistos have hiding in their closets!
