STYLE GURU BIO: Christine Enriquez

Hey everyone, my name is Christine Enriquez! I’m a senior at Loyola University Chicago studying Advertising, Public Relations and Marketing. This semester marks my second term as a Style Guru. CollegeFashionista has allowed me to share my love for fashion, photography and writing on one platform and I couldn’t be more excited to continue doing so this season. I’m also thrilled to announce that I’ll be interning at CollegeFashionista’s Chicago office this semester! I cannot wait to work with the Chicago editorial team and become more involved with CollegeFashionista.

My style is always evolving, and for the past few weeks, I’ve found myself being drawn to urban streetwear and looks that incorporate more athletic pieces. In contrast to this, I’ve also been delving into the world of jewelry. I’ve never been a huge jewelry/accessories person, save for my everyday essentials— pearl studs, a dainty gold necklace and my favorite opal ring. Last season however, I discovered that the right jewelry and accessories can really transform and elevate an outfit. I’ve since been obsessed with gold jewelry, and have been piling on the bracelets and rings on my wrists and fingers. Combining these two elements has allowed me to create a unique style that is my own.

This fall, I’ll still be slipping on my Nike Air Force 1s, as well as adding a few more pairs to my sneaker arsenal. I’m currently lusting over a pair of custom Nike Roshe Ones. If I’m not in athletic footwear, I’ll probably be in a trusty pair of heeled Chelsea boots. My favorite footwear paired with skinny jeans, lightweight sweaters and sleeveless coats would probably make up the bulk of my fall looks.

Fall is my absolute favorite season, and I couldn’t be more excited to be reporting on the latest fashion trends and styles I spot on my campus and around my city.
