STYLE GURU BIO: Christina Small

I was born in March of 1995 as Christina Marie Small. Everyone calls me by my nickname, Chrissy. My personality perfectly fits the description of a Pisces, which I check every day. Along with my daily horoscope, I have to check Twitter, SnapChat and a few other websites to see if I missed anything in the eight hours that I was sleeping.

I chose Saint Joseph’s University because my aunt has lived across the street from the campus since I was young and I have always been in that environment. I only live about a half hour from campus so it is always nice to be close to home, especially when I have to drive home to get something from my wardrobe. Saint Joe’s has not changed my style, just added Lily Pulitzer and Vineyard Vines to my shopping list.

I have always had a love for fashion ever since I was young, drawing pieces of clothing on napkins or in Lisa Frank notebooks. Each piece of clothing in my wardrobe is special to me. Freshman year, I brought my entire wardrobe to college with me. My style ranges from preppy to athletic and from grunge to casual. No matter what type of style the clothes are, I have to arrange them by color in my closet or I am never able to find anything.

Saint Joseph’s University has given me lifelong friends from my sorority (Alpha Omicron Pi), my ice hockey team and my field hockey team. I am a double major in communications and political science, just waiting to get out in the real world with a job to afford my expensive taste in clothing!

This is actually my first day outfit. I wanted to wear something comfortable and cute, without looking too dressed up. I have been living in these shorts from Hollister Co. that have been great to wear to concerts or to the boardwalk. Everything else I am wearing has been used and abused. My sneakers are from GUESS, but are perfect for walking around campus in any type of weather because they are comfortable and worn out. My shirt is also from GUESS and also a few years old, so the link provided is a similar style. My everyday statement is my AOII ring from Etsy, you can get any sorority letters on it and it only took a few weeks to get. Last, but not least, a fresh manicure with a pink color to finish the look. This week I chose OPI’s Kiss Me I’m Brazilian for my acrylic nail refill to attempt to bring summer into the fall with me!
