Hey everyone, Christina here! Being a Style Guru with CollegeFashionista has been one heck of an amazing experience. The sad news is that I’m quickly approaching graduation, making this my final semester contributing to CollegeFashionista. I’ve loved getting the chance to expand my editorial experience while highlighting the trends and fashion savvy students on campus.
I’m a Journalism student at Ryerson University in Toronto hoping to get into entertainment broadcasting. My personal style is heavily influenced by a city lifestyle. I love the fast pace and I like to keep busy. With a campus that is integrated right into the downtown core, you will never find me wearing sweatpants to class. Whether I’m going on a grocery run or to a special event, I always try to make an effort when I go out. From what I’ve learned, you always need to be on your A-game because you never know who you may run into!
My wardrobe is packed with a mixture of colors, textures and prints. I love putting together outfits in the morning; it’s important to have fun with it! My current obsessions are ankle boots, leather details and oversized coats. I have a newfound love of red lipstick and I’m trying to wear it more often. I’m also a huge fan of the black and gold combo. My style icons are Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Oh, what I would give to raid their closets.
I’m originally from Vancouver and although I’ve made a second home here in Toronto, I know that I am destined for New York. There’s just something about that city that’s got me hooked. I think it’s the atmosphere and liveliness that make it the perfect place for fashion. Just wandering through the streets can be so inspiring.
