STYLE GURU BIO: Christina D’Ambrosio

Hi Fashionista/os, my name is Christina D’Ambrosio and I am currently a sophomore at Fordham University. It is so crazy to me that I’m already in my second year of college, let alone that it has only been a year since I joined the CollegeFashionista #GuruGang. Since becoming a Style Guru my second semester of freshman year, I have grown so much. My style has evolved, along with my photography and social media skills. I am so grateful to be a part of this community of so many driven and talented Fashionista/os.

Because it seems like my personal style is constantly evolving, I never feel I can put a label on it. Some days I dress full on Scream Queens luxe with pastels and pearls, but most days you can find me in a distressed, all-black look. My go-to move is pairing one of my three pairs of Express high-waisted ripped black jeans with a graphic tee and a leather jacket. It is such an easy way to look put-together, even if it was a “hit snooze four times” kind of morning. If I don’t feel like wearing pants—which let’s face it—is often, I am a sucker for dresses and skirts. They are such easy to style, versatile pieces that my closet truly would be running on empty without.

As an unapologetic follower of trends, there are some pieces that I’m currently loving for winter. Faux fur, for one, is having a major moment that I don’t see ending anytime soon. It’s everywhere, from vests and coats to purse accessories, and I want it all. Another thing I’m hardcore vibing on is the revival of dark lipstick. I just recently got my hands on a Kylie Lip Kit by Kylie Jenner, *squeal* and am getting extremely close to perfecting my Rachel Greene brown lip statement. Dark lips are so big right now and can instantly up the cool factor on any everyday outfit.

This semester, I’m looking forward to not only exploring my own personal style, but also the style of the Fashionista/os around me. Fordham students have a very distinct sense of style that I am always inspired by, and can’t wait to show off to the CollegeFashionista community.
