STYLE GURU BIO: Cheyenne Bowers

Hello, my trendy friends! My name is Cheyenne Bowers and I am so excited to share my affinity for great style from the fashionable streets of Chicago this summer! I am about to embark on my senior year at DePaul University as a Journalism major, after studying and living in London for five months. While abroad, I was fortunate enough to intern at SUITCASE Magazine, where I found a couple of my favorite things: fashion and travel combine into one. Between working and traveling through Europe, I stumbled across unique and stellar style that will inspire my closet for years to come. I can’t wait to get back to the Windy City, and continue exploring and sharing some fabulous fashion finds with all of you!

If living in Europe and one of the trendiest cities in the world has taught me anything, it’s that fashion is art, and you can express your own brand of art in whatever way you see fit. Whether pairing trainers with a leather pencil skirt, or neon-pink pumps with boyfriend jeans and a sweatshirt, it’s your style and you can do what you want with it. Personal style is the best confidence booster, and I believe everyone should be free to be who they want to be in their clothes.

As a fellow fashion lover, I enjoy a boyish touch every now and then, wandering in the men’s department here and there. While out and about in Paris, I went for a more relaxed feel in black mom jeans and Converse All-Stars; layering them with a thrifted men’s shirt and sweater vest. I never go anywhere without my Ray-Ban aviators, as a trusty pair of sunglasses is always a must.

I am thrilled to be a part of the CollegeFashionista community and look forward to obsessing over everything fashion with all of you!
