STYLE GURU BIO: Chelsea Lee

Hello fellow Fashionista/o! My name is Chelsea Lee, and I am a first year student at the University of Pennsylvania, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts for Fine Arts. This is my first time writing for Collegefashionista as a named Style Guru, and I’m grateful to be part of this thriving and eclectic fashion community. I can’t wait to share the moments of style I capture through my artistic perspective!

Fashion has been an integral part of my life. I was heavily involved in fashion-related clubs from high school and continue to do so in college. In high school, I was the Co-President of my Fashion Club and Co-Director of our lavish fashion shows; I was a Fashion Ambassador in Nordstrom Fashion Ambassador Program. Craving to continue being involved in the student fashion community, I became Women’s Stylist for Penn’s fashion publication, The WALK, and member of the Production Committee in Fashion Show Committee of the Penn Fashion Collective.

My interests expand beyond art and fashion, and extend to the field of business. I’ve always had an interest in business, and found the combination of both my love for Fashion, Art,and Business (which is F.A.B!)—retail. After being exposed to the business side of the fashion industry, I have become infatuated with the concepts of retail, buying and merchandising. I felt as if fashion buying was a skillset tailored just for me—styling, trend forecasting and buying. I plan on delivering more trend forecasts or reports to develop my eye for buying.

CollegeFashionista is the perfect platform to start and pave my own fashion journey. It is an amazing platform for students to express their opinions and views on fashion. Here, I will chronicle my outlook on fashion and document the avant-garde and vibrant fashion community on campus. Maybe you’ll be featured in my articles!
