My name is Chanel Stewart. I’m a Public Relations major at Middle Tennessee State University and this is my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista.
Last semester I got to learn more about the fashion industry and meet so many new people with inspirations like my own. The opportunities that CollegeFashionista has given me so far have inspired me to go further and do more things related to the fashion industry. This year I have also gotten a chance to attend a Vogue event at Nordstrom in Nashville where I got to meet many local bloggers while representing myself as a CollegeFashionista blogger.
For as long as I can remember fashion has always been an important part of the way that I express myself. In fact, it is so influential to me that I have decided to one day start my own fashion magazine to showcase up-and-coming local designers. To me, fashion is more than just the way that you dress — it is creativity, individuality, art and emotion. I also want to do some public relations work related to fashion, or maybe even represent different retailers and fashion houses. There are so many things that I would like to do in fashion and I hope that during this semester I get to learn more, as well as showcase even more of what my campus can do style wise.
This semester I am looking forward to learning even more and demonstrating the unique style stars we have here at MTSU. This time around, I will be posting each week on Friday for the ACCESSORIES REPORT. Be sure to check in with me each week to be inspired by the Fashionistas/os here on the MTSU campus.
