STYLE GURU BIO: Catelyne Snitker

Hey everyone! My name is Catelyne, and I am a sophomore at The University of Missouri – Columbia (also lovingly referred to as Mizzou, The Zou, and M-I-Z-Z-O-U). I am majoring in Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communications, and I am minoring in Textile and Apparel Management. I am so pumped to begin my internship with CollegeFashionista, and I hope you are equally as excited to read my posts every week!

When I try to pin-point where my love for fashion came from, one person always enters my mind—my mom. When I was little, my mom made sure to keep herself dressed in the latest trends while also doing the same for me. Growing up with such a RAD woman, I never looked back. Many who know me know my happiness lies in the little box that says “add to bag” and the aisles of Sephora or Ulta.

My personal style is all about neutrals. There is just something so crisp, clean and classy about an outfit solely consisting of neutrals. I knew that this outfit was a perfect pick for my bio because it showcases my style in just the right way. A black romper is so easy to throw on and so comfortable too. I knew I wanted to continue on the comfortable path, so I paired it with a breezy, gray cardigan and a pair of black espadrilles. To finish it off, I gathered some of my favorite accessories and a versatile hat.

My favorite thing about style is the fact that it is a universal language. No matter where someone comes from, style can speak to them in ways that no one else can. I can not wait to share this language with all of you fellow Fashionistas/os!
