Hello, everyone! My name is Cassie Sterwald and I am so excited to continue to with CollegeFashionista this semester. This will be my fourth semester as a Style Guru! The past three semesters, I was at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. However, I decided that it wasn’t the place for me, so I decided to transfer to the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay. The majority of my summer will be spent in my hometown. I cannot wait to begin spotting Fashionistas and Fashionistos this summer.

I live for everything summer: food, drinks and especially clothing. Everything is full of color and fun prints. My entire wardrobe consists of floral skirts, chic crop or tank tops and maxi dresses. These trends are all over the place this summer, and I couldn’t be happier about it. While these are pretty much staples for every Fashionista, I look for different colors and prints to help make myself stand out. I try to avoid darker winter colors like blacks or grays and I’m a big fan of swapping out a shirt to make the entire outfit look different.

While I have so much fun styling my fabulous summer outfits, adding accessories takes it to a whole new level. I’m a big statement necklace fan but my shell necklaces come out during this season which makes me feel like I’m at the beach. My feet live in sandals or Sperry Top-Siders for several months. I have so many different pairs that my outfits never look exactly the same. I never step foot outside my house without a pair of sunglasses. I’m totally obsessed with these circular Ray-Ban ones, they remind me of John Lennon’s famous circular glasses.

I plan on stepping into summer in style with all my favorite clothing items and accessories. I love seeing how everyone takes popular trends and makes them work for themselves. It’s always refreshing to see bright colors after a long winter; I can’t wait to break out some of my new clothes! I will make sure to stay fashionable and hunt for other Fashionista/os out there in my hometown or at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
