The last chapter of any book is always my favorite part. By that time, all of the hard stuff has happened and you know you can just expect fun and excitement: a great ending. That’s how I feel about this last semester as a college student. The past four years have been full of ups and downs but I know that these four months are just going to be really fun. Especially with CollegeFashionista involved. I’ve been writing for CollegeFashionista since my freshman year, when another Style Guru stopped me and took a picture of my outfit. After five semesters as a Style Guru and last fall as the Social Media Intern, I couldn’t be more in love with all things CollegeFashionista than I am right now. I think that college is an amazing time to experiment and figure out your style and what you love in the fashion industry. Spotting Fashionistas and Fashionistos all over campus for the past four years as well as working with such an amazing team here has definitely shaped me and my style in more ways than I can count.
Over the years my style has been influenced by a lot of different things. From my California roots to my time spent in Europe last fall, as well as my favorite brands (i.e. Free People) and the friends that I’m surrounded by, each of these things is evident in how I dress. I would say that my style is a mix of casual, grunge and a little bit of bohemia. I wear black, white or gray almost every day and jewelry is always my favorite part of any outfit. I also believe that style is more than just the clothes that you wear. It’s your entire look. I love super messy, bedhead hair and easy make up. I’ve come to realize that finding your own personal style is all about what makes you feel most comfortable and beautiful. For me that’s a T-shirt and jeans.
I can’t wait to meet more Fashionistas and Fashionistos this semester, connect with everyone working for CollegeFashionista and continue to learn more and more as the Social Media Intern. It’s such an amazing opportunity and I know it’s going to be the best last chapter in my college book.
