Hey Fashionistas/os! My name is Cassidy Plank, born and raised in Winter Park, Florida right near the city of Orlando. I am double majoring in retail merchandising and marketing at Florida State University. I’m so excited to be writing my first of many articles here at CollegeFashionista!
I have been obsessed with fashion ever since I can remember. All it took was a couple fashion magazines and I was hooked. I loved seeing the new trends of the season and thinking of ways that I can include them in my everyday style. I’m all about bringing everyone’s favorite NYC trends and altering them to fit into college life. I love spotting a person that is rocking the newest trends or some amazing shoes, which is why I’m so ready to start sharing these outfits that I see on and off campus!
Fashion isn’t just about the clothes though; it’s the way your favorite outfit can change your day for the better or even inspire confidence. Personality can really reflect through your clothing and shows people who you are. Style is also a reflection of growth. You can really see how far a person has come through their personal style and the different phases they go through.
My personal style is a mix of edgy and staple pieces. I love to take classics and give them a little edge with an accessory or statement shoe. My fashion icons are Olivia Palermo and Gigi Hadid. Some of my go to pieces are ripped jeans, white T-shirts and a good leather jacket. When putting together an outfit, I like to start with a statement piece then build everything around it. In this outfit my faux fur vest was the statement and I paired it with grey tones that would not outshine that piece. All that was left to do was throw a beaded necklace for a little sparkle, grab my favorite sunnies and go!
