Hey there! My name is Cassandra and I am a freshman at Syracuse University! My two passions in life are film and fashion. At Syracuse I study film and am pursuing an additional certificate degree in Fashion Communications and Industry.
For as long as I can remember I have been expressing myself through the clothes I wear. In high school, I was always known as the girl who dressed a little differently. I expressed myself through the clothes I wore and loved to predict trends (quite effectively I may add). I was wearing colored pants before it was a thing… just saying.
Some people often judged me for wearing clothes that weren’t exactly like everyone else; as you can imagine wearing yellow pants wasn’t seen as the “cool” thing to wear. I love pattern, color and pushing the limits of fashion. The creativity that drives my fashion sense stemmed from my love for painting and art. To me, my clothes were an extension of what I made on the canvas.
I would call my style “edgy eclectic.” I love trying all new trends and styles but I always fall back on a good-ol’ band shirt and jeans punk look. My style evolves and changes as I see other people’s styles. This is why I am ecstatic to be a Style Guru! I can not wait to explore the fashion on my campus, find the latest trends, and meet many Fashionista/os!
