Hello Fashionistas! My name is Carrie Brian and I am very excited to start my fist semester as a Style Guru! I am going to be a sophomore at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. However, this summer I will be posting mostly from my hometown in CT. I am a fashion design major and could not imagine doing anything else with my life.
I have always loved the arts from a young age and it has grown since then. I have been a dancer for almost all of my life. Then, in high school I discovered my love for photography. Taking pictures is more than just showing what I do to everyone on social media and whatnot, it is about documenting my life and inspirations.
My love for fashion has definitely been prevalent my whole life, but it was just recently in the past few years that I realized I could actually do something with it. I have always been had an eye for putting outfits together and knowing what is in style, so it was a great wakeup call that I could do something I love for my whole life! If I had to describe my style, I would say it is all over the place. One of my best friends said to me once, “I feel like you have a theme in your head and just go with it.” What she said was 100 percent true. I really love being girly, but also grunge and bohemian, and those do not mix very well all the time! Sometimes you just have to choose.
In this outfit, I am wearing my favorite white button down that I can pair with anything. Heels with boyfriend jeans has to be one of my favorite trends recently. For accessories, these funky sunglasses can dress up any plain outfit with the help from a cross-body bag.
