STYLE GURU BIO: Caroline Casey

Hello Fashionistas! My name is Caroline Casey and starting this fall I will be a sophomore at Providence College. I am a Marketing major with a minor in Writing and hope to one day pursue a career in the fashion industry.

I am originally from Short Hills, New Jersey, which is an easy commute in and out of my favorite city, New York. I take a lot of inspiration from New York City; the culture, the people and especially the music and fashion.

Fashion has always been something I have been passionate about. When I was younger, my mother began her own interior design company. While she was creating her company I was able to learn a lot from her about design and art, which would later influence my personal style today.

Travel has greatly influenced my personal style as well. I have visited Hong Kong, Dublin, London, Paris, Prague and various cities in Germany as well. I strongly believe that fashion and clothing can tell a story and traveling to other countries can be the greatest source of inspiration.

Some random facts about me include: I am a music junkie and could listen to bands like Haim and Banks twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. I worked at Brooks Brothers at my mall for two summers. I am sickly obsessed with every series of the Real Housewives (and don’t forget about Vanderpump Rules!). My favorite brunch spot in New York City is Sarabeth’s. My fashion inspirations include Olivia Palermo, Alexa Chung and Lauren Conrad.

This Madewell dress is one of my favorite finds of the whole summer. It is so comfortable and chic and works for summer and for transitioning into the fall! I have had my J.Crew jean jacket for years and love it because you can style it in so many different ways. My Birkenstocks are a must have for a Fashionista, as they are super comfortable and look great with dresses, baggy jeans and so much more. Lastly, my necklace and rings are an assortment of finds I have picked up over the years, mainly from Madewell.

Thank you for reading! I could not be more excited to start writing for CollegeFashionista this fall and to start exploring the trends on my campus with you all!
