STYLE GURU BIO: Carina León

Good day, everyone! I am Carina León and it looks like I am back for yet another year of fashion, spice and everything nice with CollegeFashionista. It is officially my second year as a Style Guru and I could not be more excited for what’s to come. For those who don’t know me, I am a junior at Eastern Washington University in the small town of Cheney. I am studying for my bachelor’s of science in journalism in public relations. I have a terribly long list of careers I would like to pursue, but quite frankly, I have no idea where I will end up. I am just striving to do well in my classes and end up in a job I will love doing.

One of my favorite things about CollegeFashionista is the constant inspiration of style and fashion from not only my fellow Style Gurus and their articles, but the ladies who are leading the whole company in New York City. It’s awesome to see what they are capable of and how much work they can done all while looking fabulous! Speaking of fabulous…that is exactly how I felt wearing this outfit. As of lately, I have been into hats and big scarves. I like to drape this particular scarf over my shoulders like a shawl, since it keeps me surprisingly warm. I have a few different hats I switch between, but this green felt hat is my absolute favorite one. I like the dark color and I think it’s unique to my outfit. Lately, I have been wearing these black leather boots from Vince Camuto and I never fail to feel awesome in them. To add to my accessories, I carry a purple purse with a pair of leather gloves I am quite fond of during these freezing months.

At the end of the day, all I want is to be happy about life, and fashion is one of those things that keeps me happy. Not only do I look forward to getting dressed myself each morning, but I look forward to pursuing everyday with the thought that it’ll be a good day. If I just happen to be looking fabulous while I’m doing it, then what could be better?
