STYLE GURU BIO: Camille Lo Bianco

Hey there. My name is Camille Lo Bianco, and I’m a very excited, new New Yorker studying political science at New York University. Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved performing, culture, and people, and I view the arts as one of the sincerest forms of self-expression. I like to keep busy by singing, acting, playing the piano, running along the Hudson, and cooking pasta. I am proud to say that I am a self-published author of a children’s book called The Peach and the Plum and am a part-time Disney princess with an entertainment company called “Parties by Prilla.” I grew up with the opportunity to travel and explore, and my style is shaped by my Hispanic parents, European roots, and American home.

In the wide realm of fashion, style is a spontaneous expression of who you truly are. We are inspired by those around us, trends, social media, style icons, our emotions, and state of being. For this reason, style should be flexible. Don’t be afraid to take risks or step outside the box. The best thing about style is that it tracks your personal evolution. Don’t limit yourself, and have fun!

For this look, I went for a slight twist on the classics. A leather jacket is one of the most versatile pieces you can have in your wardrobe, adding instant warmth and edge to any look. Cutoff jeans or shorts like these Levi’s are like your oldest friend, always there at any time and ready to take on any occasion. I carried on the leather trend with these leather booties. I know they look quite ambitious for multiple-mile New York wanderings, but they’re actually really comfortable! Lastly, I spruced it up a little with these adorable jacket earrings from Kate Spade. The piece in the back can be removed to simplify the earrings, so really you get two for the price of one!

I can’t wait for what my future with CollegeFashionista will hold (hopefully lots of leather, cutoffs and statement pieces). To explore with me and to stay updated on my posts, follow me on my social media. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and seeing your looks!
