STYLE GURU BIO: Brittany Minetti

Wow, summer flew by. Can you believe it’s the fall semester already? Classes are already in session and I’m beginning to become quite a regular at my school’s new coffee shop (#sleepdeprived). Today’s order: organic blueberry iced tea with a lemon poppyseed scone—I think it’s safe to say I’ll be ordering that again (yum!).

My name is Brittany Minetti and I attend school in Midtown Manhattan as a sophomore at LIM College. This is my second semester interning at CollegeFashionista and I am more excited than ever to be a part of the team. I have learned so much over the summer about my interests and myself. I know this semester is going to be a great one, I can feel it! Things just seem to be falling into place and in my head I’m like, “Yeah, I got this.” I’m sure you can relate.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself! I am living in my very first apartment in Midtown Manhattan (I’m a big girl now!). I have a strange addiction to macarons and when I visit Paris in January I can assure you that I will be spending my entire paycheck at Ladurée. I am a student worker in the office of Institutional Advancement and I curate all of their social media posts. I have two puppies, a chihuahua and a poodle, and they’re my life (I guess you could say I’m kind of a dog person?). I have my own blog in addition to writing for CollegeFashionista and I blog about fashion and food (I could talk about food all day—no joke). I am also the Art Director at my school’s student-run magazine, The Lexington Line (ingenious name, right?).

My style definitely leans towards the sporty side, which is odd because I am not athletically inclined by any means. In this outfit, I’m wearing a black off-the-shoulder shift dress with lace detailing. I could’ve spiced it up with some heels and mauve lipstick, but I decided to opt for my comfy white adidas sneakers. Plus, when you’re walking around New York City all day everyday, heels are not your friend. Don’t get me wrong though, I do love a good pair of wedges. To tie it all together I threw on some silver jewelry because I love the way black and silver complement each other.

That’s all from me today, but this is just the beginning! Be on the lookout for my posts on the first of every month.
