My name is Brittany Dunn and I am a passionately curious introvert heavily invested in music, art and, most importantly, fashion. I hail from the inland empire, but currently reside in the wild streets of Irvine. I’m a sophomore at UCI and am readily identified by my major in Literary Journalism. I’m best described as a city girl subject with a suburban lifestyle.
I love fashion because I admire the artistry of designers like Isabel Marant, Alexander Wang, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez and Roy Halston Frowick. Fashion was an acquired taste that I’ve come to realize was an innate interest. Styling drew me to fashion and it’s been a consistently charming relationship ever since. I credit my fashion-conscious siblings for fostering my love for this particular art. Personally, I’m more refined and a bit of a minimalist. Style to me very much gravitates around a certain attitude and I believe that you dress according to that mood. All of my admiration in fashion and all things related dwells in detail. To say that I have an obsession with drapery, cut, structure, accessories and so forth would be an understatement; I live for the unconventionality of garments.
Heading the STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK column for CollegeFashionista this spring, I hope to awaken your fashionable consciences and help you gain a new perspective on street style stemming from a college campus. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and hope to sharpen my detailed-oriented eye while becoming a better writer.
