Guess who’s back for another semester to keep you up-to-date with all the latest fashion trends? That’s right, it’s me. For those of you just tuning in, my name is Brittany Bachman and I’m officially entering my senior year fall semester at Towson University. I’m studying Mass Communications and I am minoring in Marketing. Although I’m not a fashion major, I do have a passion and eye for fashion.

I started writing for CollegeFashionista during my spring semester of sophomore year at Towson. I would exclusively write about men’s fashion throughout the Towson University campus. From there I went on to my summer writing for the STYLE GURU STYLE column. As I reached my junior year fall semester, I wrote for every column seeking out students with a fashion sense. I took a break from writing for CollegeFashionista for this past spring semester, but I’m back now and can’t wait to see all of the Fashionistas and Fashionistos around campus.

Fashion is a form of self-expression that is customized to what you like and dislike. It’s not meant to be solely how other people see you, but also how you would like to represent yourself. I find myself changing my style from bohemian to grunge depending on the occasion. What I love most about fashion is the accessories. You can change a casual everyday look into a dressier evening look with the addition of jewelry or a style of purse.

For summer and the hotter weather, I love  Free People racerback tank tops because you can pair them with a chic pair of ripped jeans and a cross-body bag to have a casual everyday look. Two other favorite trends of mine are rompers and jumpsuits. It’s an outfit all in one swift article of clothing.

Now that you are familiar with who I am and what trends I like, I’m looking forward to getting to know those Fashionistas and Fashionistos around campus. I’m excited to see what everyone’s looks are for this fall semester as well as what trends are taking place in Towson versus Long Island. Dress to impress because you never know when I’ll be walking around with my camera to feature you!
