STYLE GURU BIO: Bridget Deely

We’re back! Just Like that summer is over and it’s time to start off the new school year in style! For those of you that are new to CollegeFashionista, my name is Bridget Deely and I am a second semester Style Guru at the University of Pittsburgh pursing a degree in Business and Communications. Trying to keep up with my favorite trends on a college budget is the bane of my piggy bank’s existence, so as a result I am an avid thrifter. I love the challenge of finding a diamond in the rough and using the thrift store gems I find to create a unique look all my own.

Along with being nifty-thrifty, I’m also all about marketing and PR. This summer I had the opportunity to combine my love for thrifting and PR together! Currently I am the marketing manager for my campus’s thrift shop, “The University of Thriftsburgh,” where I run their social media and promotional campaigns.

Right now my biggest style icons are Julie Sariñana, Joan Smalls and Stephanie and Melissa Valenzuela. I love how they combine minimalism with feminine influences. As for my style, you will typically find me dressed in some type of black. My favorite outfits will have my boyfriend jeans, something with stripes or my favorite utility jacket!

Stay tuned for lots more fun looks from yours truly! I can’t wait to share Pitt’s style with the internet for another semester!
