My name is Blake Levy and I am so excited for my first semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionsita! I was born and raised in New York, so fashion has been around me all of my life. As amazing as New York is, my plan for college was always to branch out, meet new people and explore a different city. With that said, I decided to spend my next four years in Columbus, Ohio. I am a sophomore studying at The Ohio State University, majoring in Strategic Communications and as well as proud sister of Alpha Phi.
Moving to the Midwest was definitely a bigger culture shock than expected. During my freshman year at the Ohio State University, I was introduced to a very big, diverse student body. Students are from all over the world, bringing so many different trends onto the campus. Since I’m a fashion lover, it was hard not to notice all the different styles students were wearing to class. I have always liked being unique and different with my outfit choices, and in Columbus, it’s hard to ignore all the trends being set around you!
My personal style is always changing. Right now, my favorite thing to do is shop at small, little clothing boutiques—they are my biggest weakness. I love finding and wearing clothing that nobody really has. But I have to confess, my favorite season for fashion is during the winter months, and maybe that’s my secret for wanting to go to school in Ohio! Nothing beats a great jacket, jeans and a sweater. And of course accessorizing is key to any outfit and will only enhance your look. Nothing makes me happier than wearing a cute hat and scarf. The more accessorizes, the better!
I couldn’t be more thrilled to write for the WHAT TO WEAR column for CollegeFashionista, because now I can share all the different outfits, unique styles and trends being introduced in my campus with all of you!
