STYLE GURU BIO: Bethany Durst

Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Bethany Durst and I am an incoming junior at Salisbury University on the beautiful eastern shores of Maryland. I am a member of Greek life, where I am the webmaster of my sorority, Phi Mu. This is my first semester as a Style Guru but I am extremely exited to have this opportunity! I am a Business Development intern at Snobswap in Washington D.C. and I am currently majoring in Business Marketing. I hope to someday work on the business side of a fashion company or open my own boutique.

My personal style is boho-preppy. I love Lilly Pulitzer and spend most of my summers covered in Lilly prints. This summer, living on the shore, I’ve definitely added more bohemian pieces to my wardrobe. Im obsessed with Flying Tomato’s flowy elastic print pants and shorts and loose shift dresses with strappy sandals. Being from Maryland, we definitely get to experience a little bit of everything when it comes to the weather, so I’m sure to keep my boots, leggings, sweaters and vests on hand for the colder winter months.

Now let’s talk about this look; it’s one of my favorite outfits that shows my personality. The top is from the oh so exclusive (I’m laughing out loud because it was so hard to come by) Lilly for Target collection, but I love this one from Lilly Pulitzer. I am really into the halter style tops this summer. I am totally digging how slimming they are on the shoulders! I pair it with my favorite, go-to white jeans, like these jeggings from American Eagle Outfitters and add some comfortable wedges. I’m constantly wearing my Alex and Ani bangles and my Michael Kors watch; they are the perfect staples for any preppy girl’s wardrobe.

Thanks for reading and I am so excited for this semester of fashion fun with you all!
