STYLE GURU BIO: Beatrice Oppong

“Hi! My name is… (what?) My name is… (who?) My name is… [scratches] BeautyBea.”

Now that I’ve gotten that out of my system…Hey Bombshells, my name is Beatrice Oppong, and I am a senior at Miami University. I study public administration but fashion has been my major throughout my entire life. This is my first semester interning for CollegeFashionista, and I hope this internship leads to exposure, accompanied by more opportunities in the fashion industry. I also have a personal blog and YouTube channel, so the feedback I receive for my articles here will help enhance my writing skills there. In the future, I want to become one of two occupations, Secretary of State or a fashion buyer for a major designer.

I was originally born in Ghana, but I moved to Columbus, Ohio when I was eight years old. Because of my national origin, I’ll always have a passion for colors. You’ll rarely catch me wearing black, white or gray. I am a fun, vibrant and outgoing person whose sense of style reflects that. Right now, I am into the bohemian trend that is taking over various stores. All summer, I’ve been experimenting with flare tops and bottoms, off-the-shoulder tops and gladiator shoes in preparation for back to school.

For my first post, I thought I’d go with a look that goes along with this article, a bohemian look. I am wearing a Forever 21 bell sleeved crop top (similar) with an Abercrombie & Fitch high-waisted jean and sandals.
