Hello fellow CollegeFashionista readers! My name is Ashley Schaffer and I’m a senior at Florida State University studying marketing with a minor in psychology. My dream is to pursue a career in social media marketing and to have a successful and popular blog where I can discuss fashion tips, life advice, music critiques, etc.
I’ve loved fashion ever since I was a kid. I used to rock a pair of awesome hot pink Converse high tops when I was only four years old. Since then, fashion has always played a significant role in my life. I used to spend hours planning my outfit for school each day, trying on different combinations until every little detail was perfect. I considered pursuing fashion design, but my sewing skills are not so good. However, my love for social media and blogging can now be used as an outlet for sharing my passion for fashion and personal style!
I would say my style is a unified balance of classic, feminine and minimalistic inspiration. A lot of my fashion influence comes from European styles; I’m in love with the structural and sophisticated design elements found in German and French clothing. My daily outfit usually consists of a silky blouse paired with some dark jeans and a casual jacket or sweater to dress it down. Some of my favorite accessories include ballet flats, my Helen Ficalora charm necklace, simple arm candy and brightly painted nails. I’m all about finding pieces that look expensive, but fit within my poor college student budget. In order to do that, I choose to shop at stores like Old Navy, Ann Taylor LOFT, Aldo and T.J. Maxx.
I’m so excited to be a part of CollegeFashionista and look forward to writing for FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT this semester!
